About Me

I am Alfred White, MACM, LMHCA, MHP, SUDP, a trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health and substance use professional committed to whole-person care. My background includes supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, adult, elder, parent, and family communities through a body-mind-brain, bottom-up approach that centers safety, regulation, connection, and dignity. My work is rooted in the understanding that many emotional, behavioral, relational, and substance-related concerns are connected to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), toxic stress, attachment wounds, chronic stress physiology, and intergenerational trauma.

My therapeutic approach integrates trauma-informed care, Polyvagal-informed nervous system regulation, HeartMath-informed coherence practices, culturally responsive counseling, and recovery-focused support. I help clients build awareness of how stress lives in the body, how survival responses develop, and how healing can happen through stabilization, emotional regulation, self-understanding, and practical coping skills. I aim to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported in their healing process.

I believe effective therapy must be inclusive, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and individualized. I work to meet each client where they are while supporting growth, resilience, emotional wellness, and sustainable change.

Next Steps, Together

Clients can expect trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered care that supports healing, growth, and nervous system regulation. My practice at TLOEP.US focuses on helping clients understand the impact of ACEs, toxic stress, attachment trauma, chronic stress, and survival-based responses on overall health and well-being.

I provide a supportive environment grounded in:

  • Safety and trust
  • Compassion and respect
  • Collaborative care
  • Culturally responsive support
  • Nervous system and body-based healing
  • Strengths-based, nonjudgmental guidance

My approach integrates Polyvagal Theory, HeartMath, and body-first recovery strategies to help clients build resilience, increase self-awareness, and move toward long-term wellness. I work to ensure every client feels heard, respected, and supported at their own pace.
